Gurugram, Nov 25: Pradyuman’s family has decided to challenge the bail granted to the Pinto family by Punjab and Haryana High Court. According to reports, family members of the seven-year-old killed in Gurugram’s Ryan International School will approach the Supreme Court on Monday to plea against the bail granted to the school authorities.

This comes days after, now released, initial suspect in the murder case, bus conductor Ashok Kumar alleged that the school along with the Gurugram police framed him and tried to cover up the murder. Kumar also accused the police of forcefully making him confess to the crime.

Bus conductor Ashok was released after an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) accused another student of the school for the murder. The CBI report also indicated possible botching up of evidence by the Gurugram police.

Ryan School Murder Case: What, When and Why?

On September 8, body of Pradyuman Thakur, a class II student of Ryan International School in Bhonsdi, Gurugram was found in the school washroom with his throat slit. Initial police investigation accused school bus conductor Ashok Kumar of the murder. However, after uproar by parents of the victim the case was handed over to the CBI.

The CBI findings indicated huge security lapses on the part of the school authorities and eventually after scrutiny claimed Pradyuman was killed by a senior student of the school.

Reportedly the class 11 student killed Pradyuman in a bid to postpone the examinations and parents-teachers meet. On November 13, he reportedly confessed his crimes but later retracted the confession. The senior student was booked under juvenile laws and sent to a remand home. Eventually the new revelations led to the release of initial suspect, bus conductor Ashok on bail, who narrated his ordeal to the media.
