Woman Surfboards Through Jeddah’s Flooded Street, Video Goes Viral - JPKee.com
Heavy rains have caused flooding in major parts of Jeddah city in Saudi Arabia. Incessant rains have resulted in waterlogging in streets even after the downpour stopped. Meanwhile, undeterred some Saudis seem to be looking at the bright side of the problem. A video that is going viral on the internet shows a woman surfing on the waters of a flooded street tied on a car moving ahead of her. Making best out of the situation, the woman in burqa surfboards like a pro making twists and turns.

The video was shared on Twitter by a National reporter, Joyce Karam, who captioned it, “This woman making the best out of today’s floods in Jeddah, #Saudi.” In another tweet, she writes, “In her second tweet, she said, “p.s. Better if watched with speakers on.” In the video one end of the rope is tied to the surfer’s ankle while the other end is attached to the car. And to add essence to the video, there is a rock music playing in the background.

The video was quick to go viral with people commenting on woman’s stunt. Soon a Twitter user by the name, Anees Abdullah also shared a video where a man is attempting a similar stunt. We are not sure if the second video was taken after being inspired by the woman. Meanwhile, heavy rain continues to disrupt normal life in Jeddah. Schools and colleges have been closed in Makkah due to waterlogging. Reportedly, four people have died in the floods. Saudi General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection has warned of heavy rainfall in the areas.
