LEAKED: Ranbir Kapoor’s Latest Photos From The Sets Of The Sanjay Dutt Biopic Show How Effortlessly He Has Slipped Into The Skin Of The Khalnayak Actor - JPKee.com

That Ranbir Kapoor is a versatile actor is a known fact. The talented actor always leaves no stone unturned to get his role right and although his films in recent times, barring Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, have not done that well at the Box Office, there’s no denying the fact that Ranbir gives more than his share to the film and does a fabulous job in each of his roles. Case in point being his last outing as Jagga, a teenager with a stammering problem who leaves on a quest to find his lost father. His next film, is Rajkumar Hirani‘s Sanjay Dutt biopic and while people had their doubts initially about Ranbir being able to play the role and look the part, he shut them all up when his first pics from the sets as Sanjay dutt got leaked. His resemblance to the Khalnayak actor was uncanny, to say the least, and we were impressed already!

And today, another round of pics from the sets of the film are out and to say that we’re having a major deja vu moment right now, wouldn’t be a lie. Ranbir is looking like a photocopy of Bollywood’s baba, so much so that we had to check the pic twice to see if it was Ranbir or Sanjay Dutt himself. Seeing the pics, we know for a fact that Ranbir is going all out to make sure the film is a huge success—whether it’s getting the personality, body or mannerisms just like Sanju Baba’s. The pics leaked today are perhaps from the time the actor was released from jail, as Ranbir is seen sporting a french beard similar to Dutt’s current look. This also means that the film is nearing an end, which calls for celebration, but that could wait! Ranbir was spotted shooting at a Bandra apartment, earlier today, which was made to resemble Sanjay’s Pali Hill residence. Astonished with the uncanny resemblance? As were we. In an interview with Mid-day, Ranbir mentioned how much work went on to getting his look right. He had said, “Yeah! We worked really hard at it, doing four months of prosthetic (make-up) trials, lots of disappointments, thinking that it’s not going to work out. But you need to put in that time and effort. It’s a daunting task to play someone like Sanjay Dutt, who everybody knows anyway.” When he was asked about playing the role, he had told a leading daily, “It was surreal for me. You’re acting like him, and the director calls cut, you look up, and suddenly there’s Sanjay Dutt actually sitting behind the monitor! But then I’d got so obsessed with him. Every time I’d see him, I’d start observing him like a hawk — the way he scratches his beard, twitches his eye, drinks water, hugs… It’d become a bit of a sickness for me. But that obsession is necessary for acting, or any form of art — that madness to get something right. You may still fall flat on your face, but it’s necessary.” Well, we are dying to watch him on screen be Dutt. The film is slated to release early next year. We certainly can’t wait! And you?
