Ghaziabad, Nov 25: A total of 100 wards of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigan are going to polls on November 26 in the Uttar Pradesh Civic Elections 2017. The votes of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam Elections 2017 would be counted on December 1. The results will also be declared on the same day. The polling will begin at 7 AM and the people will have time until 5 PM to cast their votes at their polling stations across Ghaziabad. You would require your voters’ ID and voting slip to cast your vote.
A total of 189 civic bodies would go to polls in the second phase on November 26. The top contenders in the fray are the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP). In the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Local Elections 2017, the BJP had swept the elections winning 10 of 12 mayoral posts in municipal corporations. The Congress party, on the other hand, had failed to open its account. BJP had also won mayoral elections in Aligarh.
