J&K: Lashkar-e-Taiba Terrorist From Pakistan Caught Alive in Kupwara, Rifle Recovered - JPKee.com

Srinagar, Nov 24: A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, belonging to Pakistan, was caught alive by security forces from Handwara’s Magam in Jammu and Kashmir Kupwara district on Friday. A rifle with two magazines was recovered from the arrested LeT terrorist, reported news agency ANI. The full identity of the nabbed terrorist has not been revealed yet.

On Tuesday, three LeT terrorists, who were Pakistani nationals, were killed by security forces after a gun-battle in Magam area of Handwara district in North Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police S P Vaid hailed the security forces for their “excellent work” after the encounter.

Six Pakistani militants of the LeT, including the nephew of 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi, were neutralised in Hajin area of Bandipora in an encounter on Sunday. An Indian Air Force (IAF) guard was martyred and two Indian Army personnel injured in the gun-battle.
