Dinosaurs are extinct and whatever we know about them is mainly via our books and celluloid but their news always features some day or the other. Recently the news of the discovery of fossils of an animal was found but what is baffling is that the skeleton resembles a small dinosaur. Since the discovering of the remains, there has been a lot of speculations going on among locals and experts. The remains were found in Jaspur city which is a small city of Uttarakhand. As per police, they had received a call from the locals telling them about the fossil. As per reports, the remains were recovered from an old storage room of a powerhouse of a state electricity department office during a cleaning and digging process. Reportedly,  the room was opened after good 35 years and as per reports, police took away the findings and handed over officials of Ramnagar Forest department.

Chances are that some small animal entered the abandoned house and died there in. We have informed the authorities are concerned departments,” said Abdul Kalam, inspector of the Jaspur police station to Hindustan Times. “We are a bit puzzled and therefore seeking the administration’s help in undertaking massive search operation in the surroundings,” one of the onlookers told to HT. As per reports, officials measured the body and found that the creature has 28 cm long torso and his head was around 9 cm long and neck was 5 cm.


“I was stunned when I saw the skeleton. I had never seen anything like this before. I called some people to see what I had found and everyone was equally surprised. We called police after that,” said Javed to TOI who stumbled upon the fossils.
