The woman from the Bishnoi community told Khanna that she had similarly fed many orphaned and injured fawns and saved their lives. Khanna posted the photograph and Twitter and Instagram saying that he shot the picture in a village in Rajasthan where a majority of Bishnois reside. Sharing the picture on social media, he wrote, “The greatest form of humanity is compassion.” Women of the Bishnoi community had a strong tradition of nursing deer like their own children.

The picture shows a woman in traditional bandhini lehenga and choli holding the young fawn feeding it milk. Chef Khanna also writes that woman told him “the greatest form of humanity is compassion.” He adds she revealed she had “breastfed and saved many orphaned and injured baby deer in her life in the deserts of Rajasthan, India.” The former judge of the popular show, Masterchef India also adds hashtags,#HighestRespect and #BelovedIndia.
