Shimla: Army Colonel, Friend Gangrape Lieutenant-Colonel’s Daughter - JPKee.com

Shimla, Nov 23: A 21-year-old daughter of a Lieutenant-Colonel posted at the Army Training Command has allegedly been gangraped by an Army Colonel and his friend in Shimla. On the basis of the survivor’s complaint, the police arrested the Army Colonel on Wednesday. (ALSO READ – Class V Student Gangraped For Over 3 Months, Accused Arrested)

The incident happened on Monday at the Colonel’s official residence. The Shimla police have booked the two men on the after recording the statement of the survivor and completing medical examination. (ALSO READ – 22-year-old Girl Gangraped by Three Men in Moving Auto in Chandigarh)

As per the survivor’s complaint, the accused, on November 19, had invited her along with her father to attend a gathering at Shimla’s Gaiety Theatre. He even suggested her to live with his daughter, who stays in Mumbai, so as to make her way into modelling.

Next day, the Army Colonel reportedly asked her to forward some photographs of her. Once she WhatsApped the photographs to him, he asked her to come and meet some professionals from the modelling industry, at his house.

Further, the girl, in her complaint accused the Army Colonel of threatening her to ruin her father’s career if she spoke about the crime to anyone. She also named Colonel’s friend as an accused in the crime.
