Shahid Kapoor: Eventually Padmavati Will Come Out And In Full Force - JPKee.com

IFFI Goa 2017 has kicked started today (November 20, 2017) and the who’s who of Bollywood are heading to the destination for the event that celebrates the best of cinema from across the globe. Shahid Kapoor, who’s latest film Padmavati reels under controversy, is also one of the dignitaries at the event. All this while, fans of the actor and cine buffs in general, kept wishing that the film comes out unscathed of all that is being said and done to it and sees the light of day on its slated release date, December 1, 2017.

However, the film has now been postponed indefinitely disappointing many. When on the red carpet, it was natural for media to ask Shahid Kapoor about his state of mind right now. Talking about the whole issue the protesters have with the content of the film, the actor said, “I don’t think there is anything in the film that is unacceptable or that is not in good taste. Eventually Padmavati will come out and in full force.”

Prasoon Joshi, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson, who was also present at the event expressed his disappointment over how the whole issue around Padmavati is being dealt with. The writer, lyricist said, “Vivaad ki jagah vichaar-vimarsh ki aavshyakta hai (In stead of stirring up controversies, the need of the hour is to have a conversation and clear all doubts).

Well, we couldn’t agree more with what Shahid and Prasoon said. Let’s hope that the coming weeks sees the two groups – for and against Padmavati – come to a positive conclusion and we get to see this Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed magnum opus.
