Sachin Tendulkar’s Son Arjun Takes Five-Wicket Haul For Mumbai in Cooch Behar U-19 Trophy - JPKee.com

New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun, while playing for Mumbai’s U-19 side, took a five-wicket haul in the Cooch Behar Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh. Arjun’s fifer came in the second innings of the game as Madhya Pradesh made 361 in the first innings, while, Mumbai in response, scored massive 506 in order to take the first innings lead.

In the bowling department, Arjun helped Mumbai by running through MP’s top-order. He removed the top 4 batsmen and later in the game, he removed the No. 9 batsman to complete his fifer. MP was bundled out for 411. However, the match ended in a draw.

Arjun aims to make his name in the bowling department, which is in contrast to his father, who is regarded by many as the greatest batsman of all time. The southpaw, who has represented Mumbai in U-14 and U-19 tournaments already, was recently seen bowling to Team India in the nets ahead of the New Zealand series.

Arjun had also bowled to the likes Virat Kohli Shikhar Dhawan and the 18-year-old dismissed England’s batsman Jonny Bairstow through his Yorker, at Lords, while the home team were preparing for a series against South Africa.
