Madhya Pradesh: Woman Constable Sexually Harassed by ASP, Victim Meets CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Alleges Negligence in Her Case - JPKee.com



New Delhi, Nov 26: A woman constable working in Bhopal has alleged that Additional SP Rajendra Verma has sexually harassed her, following which her mental status is now disturbed. The victim also claimed that the investigation was not taken seriously and hence, reached chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s house to talk about the negligence in her case.


Speaking to news agency ANI, the victim said,”I met Madhya Pradesh CM and asked him why no action had been taken. The Chief Minister assured action against the culprits.”The woman also said that CM Chouhan advised her to go on a three to four month leave.


“I wanted him (ASP) suspended as he is still sitting in office. People are blaming and looking at me as if I had “done something wrong,” the victim narrated her tragic story.


Notably, Madhya Pradesh has been hitting the headlines for quite sometime over surge in crimes against women. On Saturday, a person was arrested in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh on charges of allegedly raping a differently-abled girl.


Earlier this month, a 19-year-old civil services aspirant was allegedly abducted by four men and gangraped near the Habibganj Railway Station in Bhopal. All the four accused are however taken into custody.
