Karnataka Minister DK Shivkumar Hits Man Taking Selfie Behind Him at an Event - JPKee.com

Bengaluru, November 20: Karnataka Energy Minister DK Shivkumar was caught on camera in an awkward moment where he was seen hitting a man who was trying to click a selfie behind him at a public event, on Monday.

The incident happened at a child right’s event in a Belgaum college when Shivkumar was addressing the media, news agency ANI reported. The short video of about four seconds in length shows a man standing behind the minister clicking a selfie with his mobile phone when Shivkumar turns back and hits him in his arms.

Since last couple of months, the Energy Minister has been at the centre of controversy. Earlier in August, his several properties in Bengaluru and in other parts of the country, were raided by the Income Tax Department.

The minister claimed that he has done nothing wrong and that the raids were politically motivated. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also blamed the BJP for the raids, saying that it was politically motivated.
