J&K: Bullet-ridden Body of Missing Army Jawan Irfan Ahmad Dar Recovered From Shopian - JPKee.com



Shopian, Nov 25: The body of a 23-year-old Army officer, who went missing on Friday, was recovered in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The bullet-ridden body of Territorial Army jawan Irfan Ahmad Dar was found by the locals in the area.


Dar had reportedly gone on leave 10 days ago and had gone missing yesterday.


The locals found the body lying in pool of blood inside Wothmula Nad area of Keegam, after which they informed the police.


A CNN-News18 report says that the soldier’s car was found close to the body. A police officer, while speaking to the TV channel, said that the possibility of the involvement of terrorists in the kidnap and murder cannot be ruled out.




Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, was a resident of Sensen village of Shopian district. He was in the Engineering Regiment of the Indian Army and was posted in Gurez.
