Delhi: 33 Trains Delayed, Five Rescheduled And Three Cancelled Due To Low Visibility - JPKee.com



New Delhi, Nov 25: A total of 33 trains were running late while 5 others were rescheduled and three got cancelled on Saturday due to low visibility in the national capital.


With the onset of winter, Delhi is facing a delay in flight and train operations, leaving number of passengers stranded at airport, railway stations.




Earlier on Friday, 23 trains were delayed, two rescheduled and one was cancelled (Delhi-Alipurduar Mahananda Express) after Delhi experienced its first coldest morning of the season. The minimum temperature dropped to 7.6 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average, the Met office had said.


The national capital has been experiencing dense smog for about a month. The air pollution level has hit a new high, leaving Delhiites grasping for breath,


Some parts of the region still continues to fall under very unhealthy category of the Air Quality Index. The menace also forced authorities to take emergency measures such as banning construction activities and brick kilns in the National Capital Region.


Earlier this week, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with Health Minister Satyendra Jain and other officials took a review meeting of Delhi Health Mission.
